For those of you who love freeride we got news from our Hardtails Team who visited Koninki Gravity Park. Read the full story on Pinkbike. Lots of amazing shots taken by Piotr Staron - www.staronphoto.com.

"Koninki Gravity Park - a friendly place for cyclists" a new place for biking is advertising like that. Founded at the beginning of this year, a rapidly growing profile on FB, organized events and recent Joy-Ride competition have caused that Koninki has been hailed one of the best spots in Poland.

Having heard much praise, after several unsuccessful attempts to trip due to illness, study or no money I finally gathered with Piotrek Staron (www.staronphoto.com) to chill in Koninki.

Friday
We had initially went at 16, but as always happens around the 18 we left Bielsko-Biała. Reports on the spot about 20-21. Unpacking. Beer. Grilled sausage. We meet Michał main builder in Koninki. He told us several stories straight from the forest, what can I expect on the trails. A few glasses of vodka. Sleeping bag.

Saturday
Wake up at 8 am. Quick breakfast. Bike-pass. And we go to the top. Along the way, I realized that the day before I had to change tires and put the SPD pedals, but I forgot about that. I'm on top. Beautiful view. Fast warm-up and I go to the forest.

Pass a piece of the pave droad and the first intersection, one track to the left one to the right. I choose left. Before leaving home, I prepared myself well, watching a few helmetcams. A few meters further the next intersection. I'm going straight, because I can see some wooden structures. Two jumps very safe, a few meters of flight. Fast think, I can do the transfer.

Next, several high-speed straights, many turns and traverses, I’m at the bottom. I'm doing the next two downhills on other trails, I encounteron a wooden NS, new jumps. A short break at the bottom. Another track, most on the left. Few jumps, but a good flow, a few holes before corners, overall good track for the HT, especially because I have not changed pedals to SPD.

I ride it to the end of the day. Beer. Dinner. Fireplace. Sleep.

Sunday
Wake up a little later on a small hangover. Fast planning of the day. We go to the top, make some pics. Shoot a few helmetcams for a souvenir. After lunch Suski-Backyard, small Dirt Jam to workout tricks and watch the pros.

In summary, Koninki are a very cool place for downhill. Tracks quite difficult, steep with lots of corners. The trail with wooden NS adapted for beginners. So far I don’t find there the big jumps, but I know that there is planned a freride line for next season. Only downside is the marking of trails. I was there the first time, I had to look for tracks. I found five trails, but there may be more.

Soon, the relation from visiting Suski!

Stay tuned!
