At the end of an event that saw the world's greatest freeriders pushing the envelope as far as it can go, it was the UK's Sam Pilgrim who was crowned Red Bull District Ride champ after delivering an incredible run. The British rider won first place at the final event of the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour ahead of second-placed Swede Martin Soderstrom and third-placed Canadian Brandon Semenuk after convincing the jury with his consistently high level of tricks throughout the overall 6 Districts.

“The first time I saw the course, I couldn’t wait to just go crazy on it," said Pilgrim. "Of course, I’m really stoked I won but more importantly I had a lot of fun. Nuremberg is just a really cool city!”
