Windham: Fast and loose!
After a quick stop home (Bromont, QC), Sam, Phil and youngster Lucas (aka Rey-Rey) embarked on a week-long trip to Windham, NY for the sixth round of the World Cup and the Eastern State Cup which was held next to the World Cup track. By the time Friday came along, both Sam and Phil knew it would be hard to qualify. Indeed, it was... Only 13 seconds sperated the 1st qualifier and the 80th qualifier. Phil made some mistakes in his qualifying run finishing 110th but Sam, on the other hand, finished 68th, 11 seconds off the fastest time allowing him to continue to the finals.

Saturday's finals made for, once again, some tight racing. Sam got a great run in and finished 59th. On Sunday, it was Lucas's turn to race at Windham. He entered that race as a Junior Expert and got 7th. A great result for a 14 year old competing against guys with 2-4 years on him. He is one to watch for in the coming years.

The three boys are looking strong for the remainder of the season. Phil Ricard is our only rider to go to Crankworx. You can be sure he will represent the team and our sponsors with his best! Look out for him on any SCRUBable jump of the Canadian Open.
