NS Snabb T custom build

The cool thing about working in the bike industry is that you get to ride some nice bikes before they even get to the production line. Here is our boss' Snabb T custom build.

Raw frame - weighs less! Note the hand polished rocker. Compared to a production frame this one has slightly shorter chain stays. Other than that, it’s very close to the production model that will be released this December.

The frame has 140mm of travel via a 4 bar Horst system with plenty of anti-squat built in. The kinematics have been designed specifically with 1X drivetrains in mind. Rock Shox Pike forks with 160mm of travel are an ideal match for this bike. It’s a concept that we always liked - more travel up front, a little less in the rear.

The rear suspension is handled by the new Rock Shox Monarch RT3 DebonAir, with it's two-chamber air-sleeve that adds volume to the shock's main and negative springs.

The frame has internal cable routing with an option of external routing via removable cable guides, a tapered headtube and very pretty custom tubes with smooth lines.

Sram XX1 drivetrain. We love 1X drivetrains. And although 1X10 is good, 1x11 is better!

Prototype NS Monogram carbon fibre bar. This product should be in production in early 2015. More info on this coming soon.

The trick Magneto stem. Looks unlike anything else.

Crank Brothers Candy Ti pedals with black cages instead of the standard gold ones. Szymon usually rides on NS Radiance flats but the Candy's are an option for long distance trips.

Crank Brothers Iodine wheels get dressed in a Schwalbe Nobby Nic / Racing Ralph combo for longer distance rides or the hardpack conditions in Gdansk. For tougher, more rocky environment Szymon uses a Hans Dampf / Rock Razor combo.

Hope brakes slow this fast bike down and their technical looks complement the build perfectly. A combo of the Race Evo E4 with 180mm discs in the front, and Race Evo X2 160mm in the rear gives a good balance between stopping power and weight.

The Selle Italia SLR Troy Lee Designs saddle sits on top of a 150mm travel Kind Shock LEV seatpost.
