The Quark Pro stem is available in 25.4 and 31.8 sizes. We optimised the faceplate and body, and removed every unnecessary cubic millimetre of alloy from this stem. But no worries about the strength - the Quarks are cold forged in our own moulds before going into the CNC department. This whole process improves the characteristics of the material. The short reach and zero degree rise makes it the perfect stem for new school riding.
A few words from Erenes about the Quark: “At one point I was pretty excited about using BMX stems in my 24” street bike, however I felt that something was wrong. I use a 420mm fork, the head tube of my frame is short and I don't like steer tube spacers. So even with my District bar, the front end was really low. To make it worse, bmx stems are quite long - so with the built in drop and 50mm reach it is quite hard to get the front end up, it's not so easy to sustain a manual and the front end of the bike feels a bit heavy. Changing the bmx stem to the Quark really solved the problem for me, plus I saved about 100g of weight. Now my favourite bmx stem is in my bmx, and the Quark is in my 24 bike”.
The Quark has been on the podium of the FMB World tour more times than any other stem.
